You buy credits. We never touch your sales.
Pressborn takes no percentage of your royalties, asks for no exclusivity, and has no subscription. You buy a pack of credits when you need one, spend them on the work you choose, and whatever the store pays you is yours in full.

Credits do not expire. New accounts start with 10 credits once the email address is verified, which is enough to run the three editing passes on a book before deciding whether to spend anything.
What each thing costs
- Full editing analysis Developmental, line and copy passes over the whole manuscript.
- —
- Second look A follow-up developmental or line pass after you have revised.
- —
- Store package Interior file, cover at the right dimensions and store-ready metadata. Charged per store, so two stores cost twice this.
- —
- Market research Comparable titles, category and keyword suggestions, positioning notes.
- —
- Cover art Your first set of three covers is free. After that it is — for one new cover, or — for a fresh set of three.
- Free
- Blurb and launch copy Back-cover description, retailer blurb and social copy, per generation.
- —
- Author bio Written from the facts you supply, and only those.
- —
- Chapter edit A close editorial read of one chapter, charged per chapter.
- —
- Submit to an agent A query letter, a synopsis and an author biography, written from your manuscript, charged per document. Sample chapters are taken straight from your own book and cost nothing.
- —
You are always shown the cost before a credit is spent, and nothing charges you twice for the same run. If a job fails after you have paid for it, the credits go back.
