What Pressborn is

Pressborn helps you turn a finished manuscript into a published book. You upload your manuscript, and we provide AI-assisted editing feedback, cover generation, market analysis, and store-ready publishing packages for retailers such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Kobo, and Google Play Books.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Pressborn. Give us accurate information when you register, keep your password private, and tell us at support@pressborn.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your login.

When you verify your email address for the first time, we add 10 free credits to your account as a welcome gift. Free credits are promotional and have no cash value.

Credits and payment

Pressborn runs on prepaid credits. You buy a credit pack, and features that cost credits spend from your balance. The current price of every pack and every paid action is listed on our pricing page, and you always see the cost of an action before you confirm it.

Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure checkout page. Card numbers never pass through or get stored on our servers.

Credits are not money. They cannot be transferred to another account or redeemed for cash. When a paid job fails on our side, for example an analysis that errors out, the credits are refunded to your balance automatically. Once a paid service has been delivered, the credits spent on it are consumed. If something went wrong with a purchase or a delivered service, contact support@pressborn.com and we will work it out with you.

There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges. We never take a share of your book sales. You pay only for the credits you choose to buy.

Your manuscript is yours

You keep every right to the work you upload. Pressborn claims no ownership of your manuscript, and no share of anything you earn from it.

So that the service can function, you give us a limited permission to store your manuscript, process it, and send relevant parts of it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy, solely to deliver the features you ask for. This permission ends for a manuscript when you delete it.

Content our tools generate for you, such as covers, suggested edits, bios, and publishing packages, is yours to use in your book. We claim no ownership of it.

AI features and your responsibility

Our editing feedback, cover art, market analysis, and bio generation are produced with AI. AI output can be wrong, and it can miss things. It is a helper, not a professional editor, designer, or lawyer. Review everything before you accept it into your manuscript or publish it. You are responsible for the final content of your book.

Publishing to retailers

Pressborn prepares files and packages for you to submit to retailers. Your accounts with Amazon, IngramSpark, Apple, Kobo, Google, and any other retailer are your own, under their terms. Pressborn is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them, and we cannot guarantee that a retailer will accept your book.

Acceptable use

You agree to:

• Upload only work you have the rights to upload.
• Not use the service for unlawful content or purposes.
• Not attempt to break, overload, or probe the service, or to access another person's account or data.
• Not resell or automate access to the service.

We use rate limits and other protections to keep the service safe, and we may refuse or reverse actions that abuse it.

Copyright complaints

If you believe work hosted on Pressborn infringes your copyright, report it through our copyright report page. We review every report and remove material found to be infringing. Accounts that repeatedly infringe may be closed.

Ending your account

You can stop using Pressborn at any time and can delete your manuscripts yourself. To close your account, email support@pressborn.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Unused purchased credits are forfeited when an account is closed for abuse.

Disclaimers and limits

Pressborn is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error free. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and note the change. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
